Learning to play the BCC#
« on: October 25, 2017, 06:36:41 PM »
Dear members,

The box that I have been playing for the past 4 years is a Hohner three-row from 1939.
I seem to be getting to know my way around the right-hand side of the instrument fairly well.
A couple of days ago I discovered the playing of Ian Cruickshanks who has put up a lot of Scottish tunes on his YouTube channel. He complements the melodies with fine and solid bass-playing.
YouTube being able to play it all at half speed, I reckon this might help me with practising the bass-side (I had it modified to make it playable in all keys).
Having made a playlist for this purpose, I thought I would share it with you:

Friendly regards,

Rovisti Vistiro

Always slow to catch on, only now that I'm looking into the subject again, I realize that I'm in the best of three-row company.
Hence, I couldn't resist making you another playlist:

Thank you Daniel McPhee, for making all of this repertoire available this way!

Daniel, thanks for putting the 'Garden of Skye' medley back on youtube.
I can now start learning the 2nd one in the set. Watching and listening to your videos
helps me enormously in my efforts to learn  tunes.
